Seasoned Web Analytics and Content Marketing Automation Sales Executive Serves as First Operating Head of Rio SEO since its Launch
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 5, 2012 – Christopher Reid, a respected software executive and global sales leader, has joined Rio SEO as senior vice president, serving as its first fully dedicated operating head since the new brand launched as a distinct SEO and social media software unit from the Covario search marketing agency in April.
Rio SEO offers a full suite of organic search automation tools, along with SEO and social media analytic modules, for both in-house corporate marketers and for search marketers at digital agencies. Rio SEO also offers a variety of automation tools for mobile and local search.
Reid will lead the sales, account services and product development teams, reporting to Russ Mann, chief executive of Rio SEO and Covario.
He joins Rio SEO from Business.com Media, Inc., an online research and purchasing destination for B2B purchasing managers, where he served as vice president of sales. His previous leadership experience included a successful, five-year stint as senior vice president at the merged Visual Sciences and WebSideStory real-time analytics provider. During his term with the company, Reid and his team grew annual revenues 10-fold to $100 million before it was acquired by Omniture.

Over the course of his career, Reid has served in leadership roles at a number of fast-growing software firms, including such other companies as SDL Language Weaver, Iovation, TorchQuest, and Merant. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, where he majored in business management.
