Claire Long Joins Covario as CFO and COO
Brings 20-plus Years of Financial Experience to the Global Search Agency and SEO Software Provider
SAN DIEGO, July 10, 2012 – Claire Long, formerly the chief financial officer of the San Diego Union-Tribune, has joined Covario, Inc., one of the nation’s leading independent search marketing firms, as both its chief financial and its chief operating officer.
The dual role encompasses executive oversight of finance, accounting and risk management, as well as human resources, legal, information technology and marketing – all in support of the award-winning Covario search marketing agency and the recently spun-off Rio SEO software business.
Long has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience, including senior positions in the publishing, software, analytics, semiconductor, digital media, specialty retail, resort and telecommunications industries. Before she joined the U-T, Long served as the CFO of Visual Sciences (formerly WebSideStory), where she was instrumental in managing its successful acquisition by Omniture, Inc.
