Each year, the Local Search Association celebrates innovation in local media and marketing with its Ad-To-Action awards. Since 2013, these coveted awards have attracted entries from top media publishers, agencies and technology providers in the local marketing industry. It was incredibly competitive this year, with 172 entries across 11 categories–including “Best Local Search Campaign,” the category in which Rio SEO was named a finalist.
Judges evaluated each of the entries using a 10-point scale to grade each on its innovation, ability to impact consumer actions (calls, clicks, store visits, etc.), ROI potential, ease of implementation and several other criteria. Rio SEO’s “Best Local Search Campaign” nomination highlights our work with a major seasonal retailer, and the successful implementation of the Local Listings and Local Pages components of our Open Local Platform.
Other awards were given for Presence Management, Local Commerce Services, Social & Reputation Management, as well as Best Omni-Channel Campaign. The Ad-To-Action Award winners were selected by diverse panel of experts and analysts to include Julie Bernard, CMO of Verve, David Kaplan, Managing Editor of GeoMarketing, and more.
Award judge Sherry Thomas-Zon, product management, mobile at Macy’s, said that the number of submissions and sheer caliber of the solutions pushing to further blur the lines between digital and physical channels is impressive. “From engaging consumers with creative time-and-location based campaigns, to deploying rich analytics and extended personalization to in-store experiences, it was a pleasure to review such thought-provoking concepts and innovations,” she added.
Rio SEO didn’t take home the award but was honored to share the stage with fellow local search experts.
