Rio SEO among Inaugural Award Winners being featured in a Free Webinar

SAN DIEGO, June 18, 2014 – Four of the Local Search Association’s inaugural “Ad to Action” award winners will come together for a free webinar July 22, focusing on what it takes to be named best-in-class when it comes to local advertising and marketing.

Rio SEO, with its award-winning local SEO automation and local listing management software, was recognized for its Local Listing Manager™ solution, which delivers unlimited optimized local business data via both bulk feed and API (application programming interface) to the major search engines, data aggregators, social networks, and Internet Yellow Page directories.

As to why Rio SEO won the award in the Business Listings category, one of the judges, vSplash’s Neal Polachek, noted that consumers are often frustrated by the inaccuracy of Internet directories.

“The Rio SEO solution prevents these inaccuracies and helps multi-location business customers get accurate business information out to the Web,” Polachek said.

Andrew Shotland, another judge and founder of, sees Rio SEO as “a one stop shop” for syndicating business listings to all the major data aggregators, while also providing direct feeds to local search sites.

“From an SEO point of view,” Shotland said, “Rio SEO’s solution improves search rankings with constantly updated information to the engines.”

Bill Connard, vice president of local search solutions at Rio SEO, will be joined by three other 2014 award winners during a free webinar moderated by the Local Search Association on Tuesday, July 22.

During the webinar, representatives from Rio SEO, The Search Agency, Sightly and Search Influence will discuss their winning solutions in the Business Listings, Implementation, Video and Social Media categories. The webinar is free and participants can register at

In its first year, the award program was developed by the Local Search Association to celebrate the best local advertising solutions.  The 2014 Ad to Action award winners were announced in April at an event in Huntington Beach, Calif., featuring Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

“It was a thrill to meet ‘The Woz’ at the ceremony,” Connard said. “I was even more delighted to see that the judges recognized the value of optimized local listing information, which is so crucial to local SEO.  Our local listing solution helps businesses provide trusted, accurate and constantly updated information across search engines, mobile apps, directories, maps and Yellow Page websites, while providing the added SEO benefit of links back to their sites.”

In addition to this award, Rio SEO was previously recognized as “the only leader” in The Forrester Wave™: SEO Platforms, Q4 2012, in which the firm was singled out as “the best fit for discovery marketers who want to optimize their content across multiple discovery platforms, not just search engines.”
